Quebec welcomes two new Triotech attractions

A new attraction has arrived at the Voiles en Voiles adventure park in the Old Port of Montreal: Le Cinéma des Pirates, a 3D immersive XD theater designed by Triotech. This immersive experience leverages the technological innovations developed over the years by the Quebec company. This marks the first time and XD theater has been installed in Montreal.

Triotech is proud to expand the family activities available at the Voiles en Voiles adventure park and to install its very first immersive theater at the Old Port in Montreal,” said Sylvain Larose, Triotech’s director of operations. “The 16-seat theater provides a 3D immersive and multisensory experience combined with special effects. No matter the weather, young and old alike will be able to enjoy an immersive attraction that transcends time, space and imagination.”

Triotech has also just launched an XD Dark Ride interactive theater in the Granby Zoo. The “7D theatre” is already one of the most popular attractions at the Granby Zoo, which operates 11 rides.

“The XD Dark Ride interactive theater was designed in Quebec for the whole family,” said Triotech’s Vice-President Marketing Christian Martin. “It’s one of our signature attractions, contributing for nearly eight years to our international reach.” Winner of the prestigious IAAPA Brass Ring award in the “Best-New-Product” category, this attraction makes it possible for eight people to play and experience simultaneously an intense multi- sensory adventure enhanced with leading-edge technology and special effects.

“We are proud to continue working with Triotech,” said Samuel Grenier, Granby Zoo’s Director of Operations. “In 2012, we set up a 16-seat immersive XD theater without interactivity that was very popular with visitors. With the 7D theater, we wanted to provide our customers an unparalleled immersive experience that is already a resounding success all around the world.”

The Granby Zoo’s XD Dark Ride theatre is featuring Carnival, the latest film created by the Triotech studio. The players are immersed in a nightmare about a disturbed clown seeking revenge who imprisons them in a dilapidated amusement park. Giant heads and terrifying automatons are just two of the strange creatures that the players will have to confront to escape this bad dream.

This installation follows the successful launch of the 200th XD Dark Ride interactive theater at the Méga Parc des Galeries de la Capitale, a Quebec City indoor amusement park.

Triotech has deployed more than 350 attractions in more than 60 countries on all continents. Triotech is fully integrated, with its creative studio in Mile Ex and its assembly plant in Joliette, and offers 100-per-cent made-in-Quebec attractions.
