Vortex Products Showcased at New Center Parcs Aqua Mundo Attraction

Pointe-Claire, QC, Canada — Well-known for their family-centered holiday villages across Europe, the Center Parcs Group was looking to add an Aqua Mundo (water world) attraction at the Bois aux Daimes in Morton, France. This new installation needed to match their custom theming and meet specific design criteria, all while being safe, reliable and easy to maintain.

Center Parcs Group collaborated with Vortex on this second project (the first was Parc Bostalsee, in Saarland, Germany) to design an interactive series of water features for all ages that would fit in a tall, narrow, space.

The resulting double Water Tree is an exciting multi-level, forest-themed Elevation™. Vortex’s aesthetically pleasing flowers and Bamboo features figure prominently throughout the structure, while two large water wheels and two slides round out the design.

The Aqua Mundo also showcases an interactive, zero-depth Vortex Splashpad® with iconic spider structure and water cannons that allow people of all ages and abilities to play, as well as a shallow pool for younger children with smaller dumping features, two baby slides and Poolplay™ elements. There is even something for parents, as water curtains provide a soothing and relaxing massage!

The new Aqua Mundo has proven to be very popular among guests thanks to its exciting design and water-intensive amenities, and Center Parcs has already commissioned a third project for 2016.
