Wacky World Studios designs soothing multimedia environment for Celebration Health hospital

OLDSMAR, Florida, USA /PRNewswire/ — Wacky World Studios has completed the installation of a major design program for the state-of-the-art hospital at Celebration Health in Celebration, Florida.

Committed to changing the way you experience health care, the hospital’s goal was to help patients overcome anxiety by creating an ambiance that was both soothing and healing. Wacky World Founder Bruce Barry did just that. Patients enter the waiting room surrounded by a three dimensional undersea environment equipped with the sound of ocean waves and the smell of fresh ocean spray. Game stations disguised as coral reefs, ocean rocks, and sunken treasure offer fun-filled distractions to a stressful situation. The imaging center is equipped with beach-themed murals, and MRIs and CTs are transformed into sculpted sand castles and tranquil ocean beaches.

Bruce is familiar with the fears of undergoing tests and treatments having been hospitalized as a child for two years. His goal to eliminating those fears has been recognized in hospitals and medical facilities throughout the country. Now both children and adults can overcome the discomfort and anxiety of medical treatment in a soothing environment revolutionizing the overall hospital experience.

“It transformed the area from what was a typical hospital environment to one that recognizes and supports the needs of adults and children as they are at the hospital for tests and treatment,” said Sally Grady, Director of the Imaging Center at Celebration Health.

Since 1997, Celebration Health has showcased innovation and excellence in healthcare for Orlando area residents and visitors from around the world.
