Weber Group expands offerings through acquisition of Design 2 Play

Weber Group Inc. has expanded its service line with the acquisition of Design 2 Play, LLC. (D2P) an interactive play company with a focus on waterplay and hands-on attractions. D2P offers an “Interactive Universe” of products that unlocks fun experiences to a wide array of clients including museums, waterparks, and resorts.

D2P’s current owner Anthony Imgrogno (Tony) will make the transition to Weber as the company’s Director of Interactive Play and continue to offer customers interactive play products from concept to completion.  Tony has over 20 years’ experience in the industry and is one of the top interactive product developers for wet and dry attractions.

“With over 30 waterparks on our roster this acquisition makes sense for the continued growth of Weber Group on multiple levels.  We have worked with Tony over many years and it made sense to bring his products and expertise “in house” to allow Weber to provide more services to our existing clients and to encourage additional relationships in the industries we serve.“ said Adam McIntyre, Creative Director and Partner at Weber Group.

Weber Group Inc. was established in 1983 and specializes in design, construction, and custom fabrication. The company maintains a diverse client base with a strong resume in both conventional and experiential environments. Experiential projects include Amusement Parks, Waterparks, Zoos, Museums, Botanical Gardens, Aquariums and Science Centers. Conventional projects include destination resorts, mixed-use developments, multi-family housing, retail and commercial.
