Wet ‘n’ Wild Las Vegas Announces Sales Team

739879_479555758768606_1950708010_oLas Vegas, NV, USA — Wet ‘n’ Wild Las Vegas has hired Derek Eige and Nick Murray as sales executives. The pair’s deep Southern Nevada roots and marketing and sales savvy are proving invaluable in managing the group sales and sponsorship effort for the 41-acre, $50 million water park opening Memorial Day weekend.

Eige was vice president of sales for the Las Vegas Locos of the United Football League. He began working in Las Vegas in 1997 as an account executive for both the then-Las Vegas Stars minor league baseball team and Las Vegas Thunder hockey team. He received subsequent promotions to director of group sales and director of business development with the Stars change to the Las Vegas 51s, the Los Angeles Dodgers AAA affiliate. Among his accomplishments, Eige more than doubled group sales; created the Smokers Strike Out program and event with the Clark Country School District that annually brings more than 7,000 fifth grade students to the ballpark; and developed many other local youth sports programs and partnerships. He also has the Pacific Coast League Baseball record for largest single day group purchase in PCL history.

An Indiana native, Eige graduated from Indiana University, majoring in tourism management.

In addition to this sales position, Murray is a director at Wet ‘n’ Wild Las Vegas investor SPB Capital Partners, a Las Vegas-based private equity firm, where he plies his skill in financial analysis and strategy, investor relations and government relations, and corporate adherence. Previous positions in Las Vegas include director of security and technology at T&P, LLC, a medical management company, and manager at Brenelle Co., where he handled warehouse logistics for the plumbing supply company innovator.

Murray has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2008. He also holds a Juris Doctorate from the William S. Boyd School of Law from 2010. Born in Ogden, Utah, Murray has lived inLas Vegas for 16 years.
