WhiteWater receives awards at industry events

WhiteWater was the recipient of two prestigious awards presented at the annual World Waterpark Association (WWA) conference, recently held in West Palm Beach, Florida. The WWA 2013 Leading Edge Award was given to WhiteWater for the Family Boomerango(TM) + Manta(TM) combination attraction now open at Japan’s Nagashima Resort. The award is presented to park and supplier members who, through their combined efforts, have brought a project, product, service or program to fruition, thereby creating industry innovation and leadership.

Best of Show WWA 2013In addition, WhiteWater won “Best of Show” for its booth at the WWA trade show.

In receiving the Leading Edge award, WhiteWater President and CEO, Geoff Chutter recognized Nagashima Resort and Kuritaz Water Industries Ltd. as visionaries in their collaboration to develop this groundbreaking attraction. “We are beyond thrilled with the success of this project for Nagashima Resort and proud of our continuing relationship,” he remarked. “And as WhiteWater stands for innovation in everything we do, winning ‘Best of Show’ for our booth at WWA is super gratifying,” he added.

These awards follow an award given at the EAS show in Paris where WhiteWater’s original Family Rattler(TM) at Aqua-Lazika, Anakila City Resort in Georgia, earned the European Star Award as “Europe’s Best Waterslide.” The award, presented by Kirmes & Park Revue, is determined by an international and independent trade jury. It recognizes the most remarkable attractions in Europe, bringing attention to entrepreneurial courage and innovation. “This is a wonderful honor not only for WhiteWater and our Family Rattler,” said Chutter, “it’s fantastic recognition for Aqua-Lazika and Georgia.”
