Aquatic Development Group Designs Quebec’s First Indoor Waterpark

The new Bora Parc indoor waterpark opened to guests on December 4th, 2016 at the Village Vacances Valcartier Resort.

The indoor waterpark, designed by Aquatic Development Group (ADG), is the first of its kind in Quebec. The $65 million expansion complements the resort’s entertainment offerings with year-round accommodations and wide spread demographic appeal. Bora Parc was added to the property in order to increase guest’s length of stay and provide additional market differential to stay ahead of competition.

Bora Parc at the Village Vacances Valcartier covers more than 102,000 square feet and carries a Polynesian theme throughout the waterpark. ADG not only designed the indoor waterpark but also supplied several equipment systems such as the FlowRider® Double, a 4,000 sqft wave pool and an adventure wave river utilizing ADG’s WaveTek™ wave generation technology.

Additional Bora Parc attractions include:

1,000 person park capacity.

14 plus slides, of which 5 are 50 ft tall.

A family zone with its own pool and activities.

A restaurant terrace with private space for groups and events.

Private cabanas.

“Our expertise in waterpark and winter playground management has allowed us to improve our entertainment experience: our vacationers now have the chance to visit a waterpark in any season. This type of attraction has never been seen before in Quebec!” stated Guy Drouin, President and General manager of Village Vacances Valcartier.
