Alterface and Jora Vision Join Forces to Develop New Interactive Attraction Concepts

Alterface and Jora Vision have recently worked together to develop new interactive attraction concepts for its customers. Both companies share the same creative vision on interactive and immersive attractions which has led to these concepts. Alterface is global champion in interactive ride technology, headquartered in Belgium and Jora Vision is a leading design & production company in international leisure, based in the Netherlands.

“Both our companies work on an open architecture basis” says Robin van der Want, Project Development Director of Jora Vision. “This means we focus on our core expertise and select specialist partners for each of our customized projects. This way we always have a winning team and the customer benefits from this great combined expertise. With Alterface we share the same creative vision when it comes to producing interactivity for dark rides, with the guest experience as our main focus.”

Ben Cornet, Alterface Founder & CEO, comments: “We become a stronger team by combining the creative design capabilities of Jora Vision with our interactivity technology expertise. We both believe in delivering quality and timeless attractions by creating high-level animation and creative content so the guest can enjoy a total experience from the minute he or she enters the ride.”

Storytelling & Interactivity

“Industry-wide we see more and more parks investing in attractions which let visitors be part of a clear story” says Simeon van Tellingen, Creative Director at Jora Vision. Each element within the attraction should contribute to the overall storyline. The same goes for interactive dark rides, where the interactivity should not be used as an add-on component but as a tool to truly immerse visitors into the story. Visitors are not driving from screen to screen to shoot and collect points but are given a real task to actively engage them.“It all comes down to perfectly blending technology, interactivity, theming and story. Only then something magical happens which turns an attraction into an unforgettable experience.”

Ben Cornet confirms: “At Alterface we realize the importance of themed attractions with a strong story and creative content. Combined with our advanced interactivity technology, it opens a world of fun and excitement for the visitors. If the theme is chosen well and fits the park’s concept, it can attract lots of visitors. We have interactivated quite some rides that are still highly successful after many years.”

Alterface hosted Jora Vision at their booth during IAAPA, where the new concepts were presented to interested customers. “We look forward to continuing our collaboration on creating themed ride concepts together,” concludes Ben Cornet. “Indeed” Robin van der Want agrees “we are also excited to develop many more magical projects with Alterface for our mutual customers.”
