Duisburg, Germany — Blueprint Entertainment has received the Rod Dot Design Award for 2013 in the category “Communication Design for the brand identity for the “World of Explorado”, developed by the Kleiner und Bold agency.
The quality and recognition value of the corporate design convinced the expert jury. Centering around three colorful icons for heart, hand and brain it reflects Explorado’s educational concept perfectly: the children follow their natural curiosity and learn effectively through a playful process of trial and error.
With more than 6,800 entries in 2013, the Red Dot Design Award is one of the largest design competitions in the world.
Explorado, which was developed by Andreas Waschk, chairman of Blueprint Entertainment, is home to various high-quality, interactive edutainment formats for children. The portfolio includes the Explorado children’s museums, camps and tours.
Blueprint Entertainment operates three science centers in Germany and Belgium: the Explorado children’s museum in Duisburg, the Odysseum Science Center in Cologne and the Earth Explorer in Ostend. In summer 2014, the unique Explorado Adventure Campus will take place in cooperation with the University of Münster (Germany).
