Orlando, FL, USA (October 29, 2013) — Over the past month, Central Florida’s theme parks have reached major milestones in the construction of their 2014 attractions:

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, New Fantasyland, Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom — September 23 marked the first time a train ran under its own gravity and completed its first drop out of the station.  The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, which will debut in 2014, is a family coaster that will take New Fantasyland guests on a journey through the mine where the Seven Dwarfs spend their days digging for gems. The attraction will feature music and characters from the classic Disney film “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.”

Hogwarts Express, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Universal Orlando Resort — The iconic locomotive and train tender was placed on the tracks between the two theme parks on October 24.  Just like in the books and films – guests will be able to board the Hogwarts Express and travel between The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade, which is open at Islands of Adventure, and ‘London’ when The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley opens at Universal Studios Florida next year.

Falcon’s Fury, Timbuktu, Busch Gardens Tampa — The cylinder sections of the drop tower for Falcon’s Fury arrived last week at the Port of Tampa after a month-long voyage from the port of  Tarragona, Spain and today were trucked to the park – total weight: 519 tons.  Falcon’s Fury will stand at 335 feet and take riders soaring 60 mph straight down. Located in the Timbuktu area, Falcon’s Fury will be visible from any location in the park and even across the Tampa Bay area.  At the ride’s highest point Busch Gardens has added an element of surprise. Like its bird of prey namesake, riders will pivot 90 degrees in midair to a face-down dive position. An instant later they’ll plunge 60 mph at 3.5 Gs straight down with speed and power like they’ve likely never experienced before.
