Christie Renews Sponsorship of Digital Graffiti

 

Christie® is pleased to once again sponsor Digital Graffiti at Alys Beach. Taking place from May 18-20 in Alys Beach, Florida, the coastal town welcomes artists from around the world to project their artwork onto the town’s iconic white walls during this innovative annual festival and competition.

“Christie has put Digital Graffiti onto a whole other level. It is going to be wild to see what happens in year two of our partnership. The residency artists are very excited for the expanded support and education from Christie,” says Brett Phares, Curator, Digital Graffiti.

Christie technology will be used throughout the festival to light up the white walls of Alys Beach. Residency artists include Emilia Forstreuter from Berlin who will be working with two Christie Boxer 4K projectors for her installation on Caliza Courts, while residency artists John Colette and Kameron Neal will be using Christie M Series on other parts of the town. Christie Captiva ultra short throw projectors will be used throughout the festival. Managing the projection mapping content will be Christie Pandoras Box media servers.

Geoffrey Platt, media server solutions manager, Christie, will be one of a panel of judges awarding thousands of dollars in prize money at Digital Graffiti. Additional judges include writer, game critic and journalist Evan Narcisse; executive director of the New Orleans Film Society, Fallon Young; creative technologist Jeff Grantz; former film commissioner of Florida, Lucia Fishburne; artist, Digital Graffiti co-founder and curator, Brett Phares.

Each year the festival attracts digital artists, filmmakers, musicians, interactive designers, photographers, VJs, producers, celebrities, agency executives and fans of art, technology and architecture, with digital submissions received from countries including Israel, Austria, Canada, Germany, London, India, France, Italy and China.
