London, UK (October 12, 2015) – d3 Technologies’ innovative Video Format Conversion (VFC) technology will take center stage at LDI, October 23-25 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.  d3’s Booth #2069 is expected to draw crowds eager to see demonstrations of the new VFC cards for d3’s flagship 4x4pro media server.  VFC technology offers users maximum operational flexibility and future proofs the 4x4pro as the industry migrates to 4K.

d3 Technologies manufactures the award-winning d3 software and media servers, recently used on Super Bowl XLIX’s Halftime Show, the record-breaking projection mapping at Hoover Dam, and Ed Sheeran’s sold-out X Tour.  Introduction of VFC output cards is an industry first: No other media server on the market has the ability to gracefully transition from HD to 4K as 4K proliferates.  And, as new signal standards gain popularity, d3 will release new output cards to handle them.

With VFC cards, 4x4pro users can mix and swap video output signals as their shows demand.  VFC cards enable users to run up to 16 HD outputs from a single 4x4pro using Quad-DVI or Quad-SDI, or up to four 4K outputs through DisplayPort 1.2.  Different cards can be mixed in the same server permitting any configuration of video signals.  This means large, multi-projector shows can be delivered with fewer machines and no downstream splitter devices.  That drastically reduces cost, rack space, set-up time and complexity – all without adding any signal latency.

With d3’s failover and understudy management, there is no need to stack a network of multiple back up systems either.

At LDI d3 will also demonstrate the 2x2plus media server designed for small events, theater productions, and fixed and architectural installations where budget is key but the full power, flexibility and performance of d3 are required.  The new 2x2plus comes with the same award-winning suite of d3 software pre-installed.

On show as well will be r12, d3’s latest software release with many new features and improved functionality throughout. It offers greater efficiencies and enhanced performance to maximize users’ time and creativity. Key new features include Dynamic Blend, allowing you to automatically blend multiple projectors even when your projection object is moving, Universal Crossfade, allowing a crossfade transition between scenes without being restricted by a linear timeline sequence, and Content Management which introduces faster workflows for content creators.

At last year’s LDI d3’s 4×4 Pro won Best Debuting Product for Projection.

Thanks to the continued growth of d3, the company is expanding its US team.  Employment opportunities in the sales and technical departments are now available.  Interested candidates are encouraged to visit d3 at Booth #2069 for more information.
