Dinosaurs Alive! is the perfect fit for our young explorers at the Field Station,” said Guy Gsell, Executive Producer and Creator of Field Station.  “We believe that serious science doesn’t have to be stuffy and that great entertainment can be educational.  D3D delivers on both.”

Containing more than thirty life-sized, realistic dinosaurs (including the Argentinosaurus, the largest animatronic dinosaur ever made measuring ninety feet in length), Field Station: Dinosaurs’ commitment to entertainment through technology will be bolstered by the addition of the new 3D theater.

“The installation at Field Station is very exciting for us,” said Jolie Kass, Director of Business Development at D3D Cinema.  “Having the theater at Field Station as a proof of concept, D3D is eager to begin expanding to other outdoor venues such as zoos and aquariums.  A wealth of complementary film content already exists for such venues, but until now finding space for a theater proved to be an obstacle.  With the seasonal theater at Field Station, we’ve shown that we can provide outdoor attractions with a digital cinema experience regardless of pre-existing space.”

Field Station: Dinosaurs opens for the 2013 series on April 5 with Dinosaurs Alive! 3D.
