DNP providing equipment to help rebuild Bahamian tourism post-Hurricane Dorian

Two months after the Bahamas were devastated by Hurricane Dorian, a Category 5 storm with wind speeds reaching 185 mph, many residents are still displaced from their homes and are only just beginning to rebuild. Many retail businesses are just now beginning to open their doors with limited services available while they work to replace not only the facility, but also the equipment that was destroyed. In an effort to help retail businesses affected by the storm, DNP Imagingcomm America Corporation has provided its retail customers with gratis DNP dye-sublimation photo printers to help replace any lost equipment.

Photo printing is an important recurring revenue service that helps retail businesses keep customers coming back to the store again and again. Businesses that were devastated by Hurricane Dorian are working to restore as many services they can provide as quickly as possible. DNP is eager to aid in the recovery efforts and support its retail customers, and has shipped DS620A printers, SL620A Snap Labs and media to help these businesses take a step towards recovery.

Along with helping these retail businesses, DNP has provided additional DS620A printers and cases of 6×8 Print Media to help support an initiative to provide families in the Bahamas with a beautiful Christmas photo this holiday season. Now, families affected by the hurricane will be able to take family holiday photos and receive a free, memorable 6×8 photo print that they can hold on to.

“It was heartbreaking to hear about the destruction Hurricane Dorian caused in the Bahamas,” says Shinichi Yamashita, President of DNP Imagingcomm America Corporation. “We wanted to find a way to help our retail customers to not only replace their equipment quickly, but also give them back the opportunity to open another service to their customers. As retail businesses begin to offer printing services again, residents whose photos may have been lost or damaged in the storm can begin to rebuild with their happy memories.”

DNP’s dye-sublimation photo printers power printing services in many major retail locations and provide high-quality, cost-effective photos quickly and easily. Printing services are an essential part of any retail business, and DNP is proud to help its customers by providing equipment necessary to provide the best printing services for customers.

While the road to full recovery is long, DNP is pleased to lend a helping hand toward rebuilding.
