Latest on Dome3D from President Matthew Mascheri

Greetings from Chicago!  It’s been great to see many of our friends and colleges at the various conferences we’ve recently attended, and for those friends we haven’t seen for a while, I’d like to share the latest Dome3D news with you.

We’re proud to announce that SpacePark360: Infinity is about to launch, bringing nine new thrill rides (and two new soundtracks) to the dome!  We have over 50 domes world wide playing SpacePark360 content, and select rides from the SpacePark360 series are being re-rendered for 3D flat-screen theaters and simulators.  We welcome our friends at thejuice, who have recently signed on as our newest distribution partner.

The F360 and GP185 immersive camera kits, options and software continue to be refined, and sales of the kits have been strong.  We’ve also shot and consulted on a number of 360 video spots for a variety of customers, and have recently conducted some in-depth production training sessions.

For the first time, Dome3D is distributing other producer’s works, and we’ve recently signed on to distribute three unique fulldome titles. Monsters of the Cosmos, a Symphony of Science Fulldome production, blends music, art and science.  It was developed by John Boswell, in partnership with Mike Farr and Matthew Mascheri.  River of Bears, a University of Alaska Anchorage production (shot with the F360 fulldome camera kit by OpenLensProductions), takes you to the legendary McNeil River State Game Sanctuary, where more than one hundred brown bears congregate each summer to prepare for the harsh Alaska winter.  Lastly, recreating Felix Baumgartner’s historic jump from the stratosphere is Fulldome Film Society’s production Flight of Fancy.  This is a beautiful, immersive piece that is a very unique dome experience!

Lastly, on the conference front, exhibiting at IVRPAWAC and Siggraph has kept us on the road, and we look forward to the Digistar Users Group (next month), Mediaglobe Users Group (in October) and exhibiting at IAAPA  @ booth 1756 (in November).  If you need exhibit floor passes to IAAPA, please let us know!

Until next time, thanks for your interest in our products and services.  Let us know how Dome3D can earn your business!
