Barcelona to Host IAAPA’s European Attractions Show in 2016

Brussels, Belgium ― In 2016, the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) is hosting its annual Euro Attractions Show (EAS) for the first time in Barcelona. EAS is the largest conference and trade show for the attractions industry in the EMEA region and will take place Tuesday, 20 September to Thursday, 22 September at the Gran Via Convention Center in Barcelona. This three-day event will feature a vibrant trade show floor filled with the latest products and services and more than 20 hours of educational sessions, forums, facility tours, professional development, and networking events. The event is expected to attract more than 9,000 industry professionals from more than 100 countries. EAS is owned by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) and produced by IAAPA’s EMEA office.

EAS is the meeting point for the €8.6 billion European leisure and attractions industry. More than 425 companies will display their innovations across the show floor for the more than 6,000 buyers to experience first-hand. Buyers represent theme and amusement parks, water parks, zoos, aquariums, resorts, cruise lines, family entertainment centres, museums, cultural attractions, and more from throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

In addition to the trade show, EAS 2016 will offer an extensive and diverse education programme from 18-22 September. The program includes an additional XX sessions and will feature presentations by some of Europe’s leading operators on topics such as trends in the industry, innovative technologies, marketing and communications, entertainment, government relations, safety, food and beverage, games and merchandise, facility operations, human resources, and more. Leisure facilities can learn how to further develop their facilities and stay ahead of any changes in the leisure industry landscape. Participants can also enjoy more networking and behind-the-scenes tours to Ferrariland, PortAventura, and the Barcelona Aquarium.

More than 9,000 industry professionals will gather at EAS 2016 in Barcelona to networking as it is the ideal platform to find new opportunities to grow your business. The EAS Opening Reception will take place at Tibidabo Amusement Park, a great leisure venue with spectacular views of Barcelona.

EAS 2016 will take place at the Fira Gran Via convention center, one of the largest and most modern venues for meetings, conferences, and exhibitions in Europe. The centre has great metro accessibility to the airport and there is a stop directly in front of the entrance to EAS. The Gran Via convention Center is located near the harbor area of Barcelona.
