Europa Park Names GCI Wooden Coaster

Rust, Germany — Europa Park has revealed the name of its new wooden coaster: “WODAN -Timburcoaster”. Designed by Great Coasters International, this new high-tech rollercoaster is set to open at the start of the 2012 season on March 31. “WODAN” was the winning name chosen in an online contest. According to the park, “the more than 1,000-metre long and over 40-metre high wooden rollercoaster is the most state-of-the-art rollercoaster of its kind worldwide.” 

Other new attractions for the 2012 season include a new 4D film starring the park’s mascot Euromaus and the Hotel Bell Rock, themed to the New England region of the United States.
