Expo 2012 Opens May 12 in Yeosu, South Korea

Yeousu, South Korea (May 9, 2012) — Following two successful dress rehearsals a week ago, one for 80,000 visitors and the other for over 100,000, organizers of Expo 2012 have declared the high tech world exposition, which celebrates the world’s oceans and coasts, ready for opening.  Following are a number of photos of the Expo site taken over the past month, including during last week’s dress rehearsals.  All photos are courtesy Expo 2012 and the USA Pavilion at Expo 2012.  Before the photos are preshow and main theater concept artwork for the USA Pavilion, courtesy The Hettema Group.  Click here to read the IPM Editors Blog piece about Expo 2012 and the USA Pavilion by Expo Museum’s Urso Chappell  The Expo will run through August 12, 2012.  InPark will continue to post photos, video, and news from the Expo site during the duration of its run.
