Phase 1 work includes the restoration of the building’s iconic facade, marquee, and signage tower; rehabilitation of the entrance foyer and lobby; and the addition/adaptive reuse of the Manchester Jr. Arts Center on the second floor, intended to provide educational arts programs for local youth. FSY is excited to also announce the very imminent kickoff of the next phase of restoration for this historic gem. Phase 2 will entail the adaptive reuse of the original 1050-seat cinema auditorium into a 750-seat flexible, state-of-the-art performing arts facility, as well as the historic restoration of this grand audience chamber. A new stage house with a full fly loft and support spaces are also planned for this second phase.
