Garmendale Engineering in Derbyshire, UK are delighted to announce the appointment of Kelvin Ensor as General Manager.
Kelvin has worked with Garmendale for many years as both supplier and client in the automotive and engineering industries and was the immediate choice when the position arose.

“It was just a case of us convincing him to join us” Said Zoe Shelmerdine, Garmendale’s Sales Director. “We’d been tracking his career for sometime and could see a cultural and skills fit with what Kelvin had and what we felt we’d need as the business grew. We’ve now delivered that growth, so the timing was just right and we have our man, so we’re all absolutely delighted”
Kelvin’s role will be to oversee and strengthen the business management, procedures and processes and add depth and structure to the sales team through his experience in this area.
The appointment will free up more time for Managing Director, David Shelmerdine to work with his in-house Design Engineering team on the ambitious new product development program the business began in 2015. The program saw the recent installation of the first QuadStar Vroomster ride for Alton Towers in the UK and the first QuadTrack, tracked dark ride for Santa Park in Finland.
“I’m looking forward to being able to bring all my experience and skills into the role. I’ve worked for over 27 years in both sales and service and 20 of these have been in senior management. I love systemisation and creating business processes. I know it’s an unusual thing to enjoy, but I thrive on creating order. My new role at Garmendale looks like it is going to be great fun and will help really underpin the strength of the business and allow it to deliver the further growth it deserves. One thing is for certain, I’ll not get bored”
Kelvin is 43, married with two girls ages seven and twelve and lives in Derbyshire.
