GCVRS joins TEA, providing 360-degree sound design for immersive experiences

Celebrating 25 years as a world leading sound design and audio post-production facility with 8 state-of-the-art digital sound studios, Grand Central Recording Studios (GCRS) creates award winning sound for TV, cinema, online, interactive audio and radio productions.  In 2017 GCRS opened a world-first Third Order Ambisonic and Dolby Atmos™ studio to create and deliver audio excellence in 3D sound for immersive content in VR and themed attractions, giving birth to the company’s subsidiary GCVRS. GCVRS immediately began supplying award winning themed entertainment industry design firms to assist in the design and production of immersive audio experiences for rides and attractions around the world.

GCVRS has recently joined the Themed Entertainment Association and their sound design team of immersive audio experts is excited to launch a dedicated promotion of their LBE division and work alongside fellow TEA members – media producers, creative firms, composers and audio specialists to deliver immersive audio and sound design to theme parks, attractions, location-based experiences, and dark rides.

Industry marketing specialist Tracy Balsz will be representing GCVRS to the themed entertainment industry, as VP Business Development, North America. “We’re very excited to be working with Tracy as she brings a wealth of experience to our team at Grand Central. She is incredibly well connected within the Themed Entertainment industry and it will enable us to better serve our North American clients and collaborators,” states Michael Hill, Head of Immersive Production for GCVRS.
