IAAPA Accepting Entries and Nominations for Annual Awards Programs

 

The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) is now accepting entries and nominations for its annual awards programs, including IAAPA Brass Ring Awards, IAAPA Service Awards, and IAAPA Young Professional of the Year Award. Presented during IAAPA Attractions Expo in Orlando, Florida, these awards recognize excellence in the global attractions industry, honor those have made significant contributions to IAAPA, and celebrate the exceptional accomplishments of facilities, manufacturers and suppliers, and individuals from around the world.

IAAPA Brass Ring Awards

The IAAPA Brass Ring Awards are the most prestigious professional honors awarded, marking achievements of excellence throughout the international attractions industry. The awards recognize amusement parks, water parks, zoos, aquariums, museums, science centers, family entertainment centers (FECs), attractions, and suppliers in excellence categories including food and beverage, games and retail, human resources, live entertainment, marketing, new products, and exhibits. The IAAPA Brass Ring Awards will be presented on Wednesday, Nov. 14 during IAAPA Attractions Expo 2018.

IAAPA Service Awards

The IAAPA Service Award winners are announced during the GM and Owners’ Breakfast at IAAPA Attractions Expo. The awards, including the IAAPA Lifetime Service Award, the IAAPA Outstanding Service Award, and the IAAPA Meritorious Service Award, honor individuals for their outstanding contributions to IAAPA and the global attractions industry. Deadline to apply is Aug. 3, 2018.

IAAPA Young Professional of the Year Award

The IAAPA Young Professional of the Year Award honors members under age 35 who demonstrate a dedication to the attractions industry through strong leadership, teamwork, and integrity, while they continue to develop their knowledge and experience necessary in the ever-changing attractions industry. The Young Professional must also be a strong advocate of IAAPA’s mission to support, grow, and nurture the attractions industry. To qualify, the nominee must be under 35 years of age and employed by an IAAPA member company or be an individual member of IAAPA through a student or individual membership. Deadline to submit a nomination is Aug. 1, 2018.
