Johnson County Museum in Kansas envisions transformation as Museum of Suburbia

The current Johnson County Museum in Kansas, USA describes itself as “in desperate need of a new building,” explaining that “the existing building is not adequate for current needs, is poorly located, is spread across three sites, and cannot be expanded nor easily renovated to meet the Museum’s requirements.”

The vision of the museum is to centralize operations in a more accessible location to better serve its base of existing visitors and draw new visitors from throughout the US by transforming to the National Museum of Suburbia.
