Washington, DC, USA — Madame Tussauds Washington DC opens it’s limited engagement travelling exhibit, THE MICHAEL JACKSON EXPERIENCE January 2012. The “MJ Experience” is included as part of The Presidents Gallery by Madame Tussauds regular general admission price.

The attraction hosts the first-of-its-kind exhibition, featuring three Michael Jackson figures from various stages of his career; The Jackson 5 Years, The Bad Era, and the “This Is It” Michael.

Madame Tussauds Washington DC features the travelling extravaganza through March 13, 2012. During this time, Washington DC visitors will get to see all three figures up close and have their picture taken in front of each wax likeness.

Michael Jackson’s relationship with Madame Tussauds spanned a quarter of a century. His first sitting in 1984 led to subsequent sittings and a visit to the London attraction by “the gloved one” in 2005 with his children. Jackson has been sculpted six different times and is the most widely exhibited figure in the Madame Tussauds worldwide empire.

In recognition of the 40th anniversary of Michael’s solo career and to celebrate the launch of its MJ Experience traveling exhibit, on Sunday Jan. 22, Madame Tussauds will host 20 dancers (ages 13-18) dressed in MJ-style costumes dancing to a medley of his hits outside of the attraction.  Additionally, following the performance, Madame Tussauds will unveil a two-foot tall wax replica of Jackson’s iconic glove.

Madame Tussauds is a property of Merlin Entertainments.
