Michael Shearin Appointed Vice President of Design at Lexington Design + Fabrication

Los Angeles, CA, USA (February 16, 2016) — Michael Shearin has become Vice President of Design at Lexington, bringing more than 20 years of experience in the themed attractions and exhibits industries to the position. Shearin is a graduate of Art Center College of Design, with a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Environmental Design, with an emphasis in Entertainment and Interpretive Design. Prior to joining Lexington, Shearin was the Exhibits and Facilities Director at Kidspace Children’s Museum, where he was responsible for the conceptualization, art direction and project management of exhibits that were recognized with Thea Awards from the Themed Entertainment Association. Shearin also managed the museum’s exhibits and facility teams; which not only included the daily housekeeping and maintenance programs, but also included providing a complete in-house design team; servicing all of the museum’s experience design needs. Over the years, Shearin has worked on numerous projects as a Lead Designer and Art Director for Warner Bros., Universal Studios Japan, Sanrio, IMAX, Honda and COSI Columbus’ “Adventure” exhibit (also recognized with a Thea Award), as a partner in The Works, a Division of Hope Works Inc.

Shearin replaces Patti Drum, who has joined Universal Creative after a career spanning more than twenty years at Lexington.
