Mousetrappe once again has teamed with Columbia Artists, Kraft-Engel Productions and Live Nation to bring the iconic 1993 film The Nightmare Before Christmas to life at The Hollywood Bowl. Composer Danny Elfman and an allstar celebrity cast will perform their original roles live backed by a live symphony orchestra.
Using projection mapping techniques, Mousetrappe will light up the amphitheater’s iconic art deco proscenium and side stage areas with 80-minutes of custom animation, elegantly synchronized with the film’s scenes and show-stopping live performances. Richard Kraft served as the Proscenium Projection Director. To celebrate the film’s 25th Anniversary, Mousetrappe’s team of designers and animators painstakingly recreated the look and feel of Tim Burton’s stop-motion classic, creating ultra-high resolution scenes comprised of original, never-before-seen artwork deeply inspired by and thoroughly faithful to the world of the film.
Mousetrappe reassembled the team that brought Disney’s classic animated film Beauty and the Beast to life across the Hollywood Bowl with breathtaking original projection mapped animation this past May to nearly sold-out performances that delighted audiences and critics alike. The Nightmare Before Christmas In Concert Live to Film runs Friday, October 26 – Sunday, October 28th and will feature live performances from original cast members Danny Elfman, Catherine O’Hara, and Ken Page.
