The PortAventura Foundation, in a demonstration of corporate responsibility and solidarity with the current public health situation, is donating 500,000 Euros for the purchase of respirators that will be delivered to seven hospitals in the province of Tarragona as a way of supporting the measures launched to combat the spread of the coronavirus.

The respirators will be installed in the following hospitals with the aim of reinforcing healthcare provisions within the region: Joan XXIII University Hospital of Tarragona, Sant Pau i Santa Tecla Hospital, Sant Joan University Hospital of Reus, Verge de la Cinta Hospital of Tortosa, Pius Hospital of Valls, Del Vendrell Hospital and Móra d’Ebre District Hospital.

“In these exceptional times, at PortAventura World, we want to dedicate all our efforts and contributions towards supporting the health system. We would also like to recognize and offer our appreciation for the great dedication and efforts of healthcare professionals, working in these hospitals and many others throughout Spain, who are fighting on the front line to combat the COVID-19 outbreak”, expressed Arturo Mas-Sarda, President of PortAventura World.

“With this initiative, the PortAventura Foundation wants to demonstrate its complete willingness and its commitment to helping protect the community that it has been part of for many years and to which it is linked by a very special bond”, added Ramón Marsal, President of the PortAventura Foundation.
