Prefix Corporation and Fredericks Design join forces to serve amusement industry

Michigan-based companies Prefix Corporation and Fredricks Design, Inc. have signed a strategic partnership agreement, combining their capabilities and expertise to become one of the amusement industry’s most capable resources. Together, the companies can provide amusement industry clients with a dedicated resource for the development and creation of new entertainment experiences and themed attractions.

Early in their thirty-five year history, the Fredricks Design team found a niche in the entertainment world. Their advantage of having Designers and Engineers working in tandem throughout the scope of each project has been exceptionally well-suited to project development in the entertainment industries. Fredricks Design has built a solid reputation of delivering the critical steps necessary for creative development, feasibility and packaging, and the build and creation of themed attractions and props.

In 2019, Prefix Corporation will celebrate forty successful years in business, and is one of the nation’s most recognized leaders in the creation of prototype designs, mock-ups, and full-scale concept projects for the automotive, aviation, and amusement industries. They are also responsible for the creation of large-scale props for the film industry. With over 250 employees and four impressive mid-west facilities, Prefix offers an extremely wide range of build and fabrication capabilities, providing clients with a one-stop-shop of vital services.

“Combining the resources of our two organizations provides our clients with a strong advantage in the themed entertainment marketplace.” Explained Fredricks CEO, Maury Fredricks. “We are fortunate that the team at Prefix shares our corporate culture of innovation, enthusiasm, and a (Whatever It Takes) attitude towards bringing new ideas to life.”

The timing of this official announcement coordinates perfectly with the IAAPA (International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions) industry trade show, which took place in Orlando, Florida November 13-16, 2018. Representatives from the new partnership met with current and prospective clients throughout the event.

“We’ve forged this partnership based on the needs of the market.” explained Prefix President, Eric Zeile. “Our relationship with the talented people at Fredricks Design provides our customers with one point of contact and the ideal combination of capabilities, crucial for an entire project lifecycle.”
