Lenny Larsen passed away on July 13, 2021. Lenny was just a couple of years younger than me, but we both got involved in the industry around the same time. I remember seeing him at TEA events in SoCal regularly as I was getting my feet wet in both journalism and themed entertainment.
As his friends surely know, Lenny also (literally) got his feet wet as a professional diver and diving coach. Those two parts of Lenny really balanced him: his incredible sense of creativity and love of themed design combined with the precision and detail required for diving.
The tragic diving-related accident that paralyzed Lenny didn’t stop him from pursuing any of his passions and he was ever-present at industry events for as long as I can remember.
I will remember Lenny for his dedication, drive and many successes. He will be greatly missed.
