San Diego’s Reuben H Fleet Science Center Chooses Gateway to Provide Comprehensive Ticketing and Point of Sale System

Gilbertsville, PA, USA — Gateway Ticketing Systems is pleased to announce its selection by the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center (the Fleet) as the venue’s new full-service partner to help enhance the guest experience. Located in San Diego, the Fleet is home to Southern California’s only Giant Dome Theater and 100+ hands-on science exhibits for all ages.

Welcoming more than 400,000 visitors annually, the Fleet selected Gateway for its integrated Galaxy Product Suite, which spans ticketing, access control, retail, food and beverage, membership with integration through Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge fundraising software, online sales through the eGalaxy Web Store, group sales and resource management.

“We know the Galaxy system can do everything for us,” says Chief Operating Officer Craig Blower at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center. “We were very deliberate in our selection process to make sure the winning solution would address our specific needs including resource management, membership, retail, and food and beverage. Gateway held the lead in functionality.”

The Fleet is located within San Diego’s Balboa Park, the nation’s largest urban cultural park. Two other locations within the Park use Gateway for their ticketing and access control: San Diego Zoo and San Diego Air & Space Museum; the nearby U.S.S. Midway also uses the Galaxy Product Suite.

“It’s exciting to work with the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center which offers an exciting interactive experience. They did their research in finding the right ticketing solution for their unique business needs and knew exactly what functionality they required across departments to drive their organization forward,” says Charles Broschart, business solutions architect for Gateway Ticketing. “Gateway looks forward to a successful launch with them in early November and a long-term business relationship.”
