The Chief Marketing Officer is responsible for overseeing the planning, development and execution of the organization’s marketing, communications, sales and licensing/sponsorship initiatives in guiding San Diego Zoo Global’s (SDZG) support of its mission and in driving engagement for the world-famous San Diego Zoo and the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. The Chief Marketing Officer oversees all areas of marketing, communications and public relations, sales, broadcast production, publication, brand equity, licensing and sponsorship. Marketing strategist bringing a broad and diverse background in innovation and brand experiences through creative processes in social media, digital marketing, search engine marketing and advertising driving towards attendance and engagement. The Chief Marketing Officer ensures the organization’s message is communicated across all channels and to targeted audiences making impactful contributions to the organization’s mission. Further develops and implements strategies across the organization to increase attendance and revenue supporting our mission. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
