Jim Bowen joins Scruffy Dog as Global Business Development Director

Scruffy Dog Creative announces the appointment of Jim Bowen as Global Business Development Director for the creative division.

He will oversee the development and growth of the global creative division and will be reporting to CEO Joe Bright.

“Scruffy Dog brings a fresh, creative approach to the industry and has great potential to grow, I’m pleased to join at such an exciting time in the company,” Bowen said.

Bowen, who will be relocating to London from Canada, has a long track record in the entertainment and real estate industry, spanning across 25 years.

His father, who was one of the original partners at IMAX, introduced him to this business early on in life.

Throughout this time, Bowen has overseen the expansion of DI Design and Development Group in Singapore. This led to the design and planning of over 30 mixed-use retail developments, conducting research and providing advice to many of the region’s major property developers.

He subsequently became vice president of development for TrizecHahn, a $6bn NYSE-listed commercial real estate developer, based in Hong Kong and Tokyo.

Bowen has served as international director of development for IMC Group, a large family-owned shipping company with extensive real estate interests in China.

More recently he’s held the position of Regional Director for the entertainment design company Forrec, for 5 years. Based in Singapore, and later Shanghai, he was responsible for all their projects in the Asia/Pacific region.

Bright commented, “we are very lucky to have [Bowen] join our family and I am especially looking forward to working with such a seasoned true professional. The company, especially our design department, has seen a strong and steady growth in the past years which is reflected in the new teams based in the UAE and China. This appointment leads us to the next phase in our plan and the hopeful expansion to the Americas.”
