SeaWorld Orlando wins IAAPA Brass Ring Award for Christmas Celebration

SeaWorld Orlando was presented the prestigious 2019 IAAPA Brass Ring Award on Wednesday, November 20 during the IAAPA Expo in Orlando.  The “SeaWorld Christmas Celebration” won for most creative property-wide event and was one of only three winners from Florida out of entries from around the globe.

The IAAPA Brass Ring Awards celebrate achievements of excellence throughout the global attractions industry and are considered one of the industry’s most prestigious honors. The tradition of the brass ring dates back to the 1800s, when rings were hung on carousels to pose a fun challenge for riders. Successfully grabbing a ring often earned the rider a prize, including additional free rides. Most rings were made of iron, but a few were made of brass, which was the most coveted and celebrated prize.

“We’re incredibly honored to receive this award,” said SeaWorld Orlando president Kyle Miller.  “Our amazing team transforms the park each holiday season, and this year features more than 3 million lights, stunning live shows, delicious food, and endless festivities for the entire family.  We invite guests to see what all the buzz is about when our event opens this weekend, November 23.”

SeaWorld Orlando’s Christmas Celebration runs from November 23 through December 31.
