SEGD hosts The Art of Collaboration: SEGD Exhibition & Experience Design Symposium October 4-5 in Raleigh NC

Message from SEGD, the Society for Environmental Graphic Design:

“Design for today’s complex and interactive exhibition environments demands new and innovative approaches to meeting the needs of visitors and clients. In a world that’s accessible at the touch of their fingertips, designers must be agnostic of geography, discipline, culture, language, and technology. That is why today’s most successful projects are the result of collaboration among multi-disciplined, creative coconspirators.

“Continuing its long history of focusing on Exhibition & Experience Design, SEGD will host its 2012 Exhibition & Experience Design Symposium October 4-5 in Raleigh, N.C., on the campus of the NC State University College of Design.
The one-day event will bring together exhibition designers and builders, clients and architects, and design educators and students to explore how The Art of Collaboration is changing exhibition and experience design for the better.

“Speakers, panels, and participants will delve into the process of collaboration from both the client and design team perspective, hear true stories of collaboration (both dreamy and dreadful), and learn how schools like NC State’s College of Design are preparing a new generation of designers.”
