Spot the Zebra Makes Deal with PGAV Destinations to Hold Scholarship Competition

St Louis, MO, USA — PGAV Destinations announces that applications are now being accepted for the firm’s experiential scholarship opportunity.

The Spot Experiential Scholarship, named for PGAV’s staff mascot Spot the Zebra, challenges college students to design a destination based upon one of seven unique environmental concepts. Students are encouraged to apply and do not need to be in the fields of design or architecture to participate. There are no creative limitations on the submitted design or medium to solve the challenge.  Photos, videos, models, sketches, paintings, or more are welcome.

“The Spot Experiential Scholarship is a great opportunity for PGAV to uncover exceptionally-talented students,” says PGAV Destinations vice president and head of recruitment, Ned Diestelkamp. “The Scholarship challenges applicants to use the greatest level of creativity and brand understanding that our designers employ each and every day.”

The firm’s top designers and architects will vote for the best display of creativity and design in June.  The winner will be announced the first of July. The creator behind the winning submission will choose to visit, along with one guest, one of five PGAV-designed destinations in North America. The firm will cover airfare, two nights in a hotel, rental car, food stipends, and admission to the destination.

Last year’s winner, Aly Strubberg from Washington University, chose to visit the Biltmore Estate in North Carolina, where PGAV Destinations had previously designed Antler Hill Village. “We had a fantastic time,” reports Ms. Strubberg. “The design and atmosphere that you [PGAV] created were perfectly fitting for the Estate and location.”

Applicants do not need to be present at one of PGAV’s college career fair appearances to participate. Follow this link for more information and scholarship application instructions.
