Urayasu, Chiba, Japan (May 7, 2013) — Star Tours: The Adventures Continue will had its grand opening in Tomorrowland today at Tokyo Disneyland Park. This new attraction – a complete renovation of the popular Star Wars-themed Star Tours attraction that opened in 1989 – features for the first time brilliant 3D images and a thrilling, unpredictable experience with every ride.
The most striking feature of the new attraction is the more than 50 possible story combinations for every ride. These are produced through the random selection of multiple scenarios that have been created for each of the scenes. Accordingly, Guests will be able to
experience unexpected thrills each time they ride.
The attraction also features vivid 3D images that are breathtakingly realistic. Guests will feel like the characters from the Star Wars films are appearing right in front of them and will feel the speed as they zip through space. In addition, the advanced ride system offers a
gripping experience as never before.
Increasing the thrills and the feeling of being there is the inclusion of famous characters and settings from from the Star Wars film series. Encountering Darth Vader or arriving on the sparkling city planet of Coruscant, Guests will truly feel like they have
entered the world of Star Wars.
Fans of the Star Wars films, and even Guests who are unfamiliar with them, will be able to thoroughly enjoy the new world of exciting space travel offered by Star Tours: TheAdventures Continue at Tokyo Disneyland. Opening for the Tokyo Disney Resort 30th anniversary, this new attraction will add even more ―happiness‖ to this milestone year.
