Triogen expands its UVARAY CROSSFLOW range of UV water treatment systems

East Kilbride, UK — Leading ultraviolet and ozone water treatment specialist Triogen has expanded its range of UVARAY CROSSFLOW medium pressure UV water treatment systems, to meet the increase in demand for its UV systems for commercial pools

The latest additions to the UVARAY CROSSFLOW range allow Triogen to offer units for flow rates from 20 to 1000 m3/h. The NSF International tested and certified and UL/ CE approved systems utilise a 316L stainless steel reactor, UV monitor, reactor temperature sensor and an automatic “smart drive” wiper system, controlled via a touch screen microprocessor control including a data logging facility. Providing optimal ease of installation and long term reliability, the UV reactor also features quick release UV lamp connections making lamp replacement quick and easy.  The systems provide effective control of chloramines, and “swimming pool smell”, as well as destroying chlorine resistant organisms, such as Cryptosporidium, with the added benefit that installation, operation and maintenance are made simple and affordable

Triogen’s expansion to the UVARAY CROSSFLOW range widens its portfolio of UV systems. This also includes the TR2 UV system, designed to provide reliable, cost-effective treatment and improved water quality for domestic pools and water features. The TR2 range offers models with one, two, three or four low pressure UV lamps, treating flow rates of up to 40 m3/h with a UV dose of 30 mJ/cm2 at the end of the 18 month lamp life. The lamps are powered by electronic ballasts housed within the reactor top cap. Pressure shutdown and a thermal switch are included for system protection, while a centre ring gives visual indication  that the lamps are operational. The suffix to the model designation (e.g. TR2-4) indicates the number of UV lamps provided. The models are designed to have a small footprint and low power consumption. The TR2 systems include a corrosion resistant vessel, suitable for long term use with salt water chlorinators and are easy to install, having selectable inlet and outlet positions. The 2-inch and 63mm PVC inlet and outlet unions are provided with all four models to allow easy connection to existing or new PVC pipework.
