Connecting Walt Disney World hotels and theme parks, Disney Skyliner set to open September 29

Walt Disney World Resort has announced that its state-of-the-art Disney Skyliner gondola system will begin carrying guests high above the resort on Sept. 29, 2019.

The new mode of transportation will feature custom cabins that glide through the air, conveniently transporting guests between Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot to four resort hotels – Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort and the new Disney’s Riviera Resort, scheduled to open in December 2019.

Offering bird’s-eye views of resorts and theme parks, Disney Skyliner will be the newest transportation option at Walt Disney World Resort, joining a fleet of monorails, watercraft and motor coaches that ensure getting there is half the fun, with some Disney Skyliner gondolas feature graphics based on Disney films, attractions and characters.
