Chris Smith, former Senior Scenic Manager at Universal Creative, has joined Wild Creations in a U.S. Development role where he will lead the company’s expansion and client engagement across the United States.
With nearly 30 years of experience in themed entertainment, project design and strategic management, Smith brings a wealth of knowledge and industry connections that will reinforce Wild Creations’ reputation for designing and fabricating imaginative installations that blend creative innovation with operational practicality.
Smith has been involved in significant high profile projects, from his first assignment with Universal at Universal Islands of Adventure to later roles that included the scenic development of Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge at Universal Studios Hollywood and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic at Universal Epic Universe.
Known for his expertise in scenic artistry, Smith’s diverse portfolio also includes unique projects outside the theme park realm, such as leading the design, fabrication and installation of a bespoke LED façade on a new build 73-story skyscraper in Los Angeles and design integration for an authentic and architecturally accurate Tuscan-style villa in Newport Beach.

Smith’s relationship with Wild Creations began in 2020 while working on Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, and his familiarity with the company’s approach and values solidified his enthusiasm for this role.
