Breaking News: Ian McLennan to receive lifetime honors at IMERSA Summit 2015

IMERSA will honor Ian McLennan for lifetime achievement at its annual Summit in Denver, Feb 25-March 1, 2015. McLennan’s work in museums and planetariums covers some 5 decades, from opening Edmonton’s Queen Elizabeth Planetarium in 1960 to creating concepts for world-class science centers in development for Tucson and Houston. Ian McLennan was at the forefront of the evolution of the planetarium from a place where live lecturers “droned on in the dark,” to a place where multimedia, music, and great stories found and inspired audiences. IMERSA (Immersive Media Entertainment, Research, Science & Arts) is a nonprofit 501c6 dedicated to the professional community for large-scale, immersive digital experiences including planetariums, giant screen cinema, museums and science centers and themed entertainment.Click here to read a recent InPark interview with Ian McLennan.
