IAAPA announced that the association has contracted with executive search firm Eleventh Hour in the hunt for IAAPA’s next CEO. The position was vacated in February when Paul Noland stepped down to take a position with ticketing and queueing technology company accesso. Since that time, Hal McEvoy has been serving as interim CEO.

In an email sent out to IAAPA partners earlier today, IAAPA board chairman Andreas Andersen explained that the board’s initial search for a candidate was unsuccessful, leading them to turn to Eleventh Hour. Well-known in the industry, Eleventh Hour specializes in recruiting for themed entertainment, media and creative markets. They are also IAAPA members.

“With our extensive knowledge of the themed/location based entertainment industry, Eleventh Hour is excited to partner with IAAPA in finding their president and CEO,” said Eleventh Hour president Jeff Ganter. “We look forward to using our vast resources and collaborating with IAAPA on this important hire.”

Ganter expects to have vetted candidates to present to the board soon.

A copy of the president and CEO job description is available online. Interested candidates can submit their confidential cover letter and resume through IAAPA human resources or directly to Eleventh Hour vice president, Julie Reyes at Julie@11thr.com.

“In the meantime, the association is in good hands,” said Andersen in the email. “Hal McEvoy is doing an outstanding job as our interim president and CEO and I am confident he will continue to do so for several additional months as we conclude our search.”
