Aardman, the multi award-winning animation studio announces its latest partnership with Sally Dark Rides in debuting not one, but two new concepts for Aardman themed dark rides at the IAAPA Expo Paris.
Adventure Through Time features a brand new Aardman IP and an original storyline that takes thrill seekers on a journey full of mystery, magic and exhilarating adventure. Discovering a mysterious finger trap hidden in a dusty corner of a museum, a mischievous heroine is in for the ride of her life. Join her high-velocity journey through the ancient and perilous world of the Egyptian Pharoahs, the stormy Pirate-infested East China Seas of the 1800s, and the world of terrifying beasts of the Cretaceous Period. Only her bravery and quick-witted actions will save her and get her back to her family.
Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon, Shaun’s next adventure, is literally out-of-this-world. Shaun the Sheep’s highly anticipated new movie will launch the world’s most famous sheep into a space-themed adventure, when an impish alien named Lu-La crash-lands on Mossy Bottom Farm. The ideal concept for a Sally dark ride, jump on board and join Shaun for intergalactic fun and adventure as he sets off on a mission to help Lu-La find her way home.
Ngaio Harding-Hill, Head of Attractions & Live Experiences at Aardman comments: “Introducing our newest IP gives us the exciting opportunity to reveal the endless potential Aardman offers to attraction partners. From our multi-award winning, world famous characters such as Shaun the Sheep and Wallace & Gromit, to brand new IP and concepts featuring Nick Parks’ very own characters, the opportunities to create unique and creative dark ride experiences in collaboration with Sally Dark Rides are limitless”.
Sally’s Director of Marketing and Business Development, Lauren Wood Weaver, says: “As we got closer with the talented folks at Aardman, we realized there is a lot more our two companies bring to the table by working together. With our experience in turn-key dark ride solutions, and Aardman’s amazing stories and animation capabilities, we could truly create some dark ride magic for any park looking for a fun, family attraction.”
Look for Sally Dark Rides and Aardman at IAAPA Expo Europe in Paris.
