Anna Musun-Miller joins Zoo Advisors as a senior advisor

Zoo Advisors, planning and consulting firm for zoos, aquariums and conservation organizations, welcomed Anna Musun-Miller as a Senior Advisor to their team of experienced zoo leaders. An interpreter, evaluator and facilitator, Musun-Miller specializes in helping organizations tell their own stories more effectively. Her experience from different types of cultural institutions will inform the team’s work on strategic planning and leadership project engagements.

Anna Musun-Miller checked out Garden Glow at the Missouri Botanical Garden for IPM in 2016, the third year of the ongoing holiday lights experience.

“It’s great to add Anna’s talents to the team and put them to work for our clients,” said David Walsh, Zoo Advisors President. “Having her unique perspectives, working across a variety of cultural organizations, helps bring new ideas to our planning conversations and creates richer solutions.”

Over the last 15 years, Musun-Miller has worked both inside organizations (Explore & More Children’s Museum, Indianapolis Zoo, Johnson County Museum of History and others) and as a consultant (Niagara Falls Underground Railroad Heritage Center, Buffalo Toronto Public Media, Aquarium of Niagara and others).

A lifelong writer, Musun-Miller’s path to cultural attractions started as a teen volunteer at the Little Rock Zoo, where she immediately asked, “Who writes the signs?” She received a double major in Anthropology and English from Vanderbilt University, followed by a master’s degree in Museum Studies at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) with a focus in exhibit development. Musun-Miller has created content and managed projects for zoos, aquariums, children’s museums and museums of art, history and culture.
