Wilderness Resort’s new Aquavia Lumina, An Enchanted Night Walk through a Canyon of Wonders, opened to the public on October 11. Guests enter a dreamlike immersive world where they follow a mystical deer through a mile-long journey in the Wilderness Canyon, (located between the main resort and Glacier Canyon Lodge). Together they search for “The Source,” a legendary spring said to transform nature with the magic of water. Along the way the Dells’ sandstone rock formations and Wilderness Canyon are enhanced by multimedia experiences and thousands of luminous lights and lasers.
According to Joe Eck, chief operating officer for Wilderness Resorts and Waterparks, “For almost 30 years our team walked over and around our beautiful Wilderness Canyon trying to figure out how we could accentuate it in a way that would be stunning and yet protect its natural beauty. Then we met the award-winning multimedia studio Moment Factory at one of our industry trade shows and we knew were on to something big.”
Aquavia Lumina is the 21st Lumina Enchanted Night Walk in the international series created by Moment Factory. It is a family-oriented, year-round, nighttime experience for people of all ages to visit when they are in the Wisconsin Dells. The fun begins at nautical dusk, and the Aquavia Lumina Welcome Center is located adjacent to the parking lot for Monk’s at the Wilderness.
