BpbZ Technology Provides Interactive Experience on Jasper Tramway

Toronto, Canada — The Jasper Tramway is adding to its aerial Rocky Mountain visitor experience with the help of a new handheld device called the vGuide created by BpbZ, a new Canadian-Irish enterprise. The Jasper Tramway vGuide creates a “Total Mountain Experience” that combines the amazing views with stories, secrets and insights.

With every tramway ticket comes an opportunity to pick up a vGuide handheld device. With a swipe of a screen, visitors are immersed in interpretative stories and facts that add to their experience.

Topics include the inner-workings of the tramway system; the significance of the mammoth peaks that form the Continental Divide; the raging power of the Maligne River; or tales of resilience of fur traders.

“The vGuide offers our guests fun and factual snippets in an easy-to-use format,” says Todd Noble, Jasper Tramway Operations Manager. “A variety of information, from mountain elevation to animals one might spot from the tram, is featured in our customized and hyper-local vGuide program, which looks just like an android device. Visitors can follow along or select specific sections that pique their interest. We even have a special function that allows users to take an x-ray of the tram. The feedback has been very positive.”

The vGuide is a BpbZ service offered by the new company co-owned by BaAM Productions of Toronto, Canada and ZolkC based in Waterford, Ireland. BpbZ serves North America’s interactive experience sector with a powerful combined offer: BaAM’s content development, interpretation and storytelling expertise with ZolkC’s advanced technology, programming skill and success in creating visitor experiences in Ireland, England and Scotland.

BpbZ’s vGuide premium experience offers venues – across a wide range of indoor and outdoor attractions and events – perfect handheld interpretive solutions, taking traditional audio tours to a whole new level.
