The Dolphin Company, the Mexico-based marine park operator, has reached an agreement with Palace Entertainment to take over the operation of the 38-acre Miami Seaquarium. This agreement is subject to certain conditions related to the assignment of licenses, permits and contracts; meanwhile, Miami Seaquarium will continue under the current administration.
Miami Seaquarium opened its doors in 1955 in what is known as Key Biscayne in Florida, as the largest marine attraction in the area. With a history of more than 65 years, Miami Seaquarium has evolved into a center for the conservation of wildlife, committed to the rescue, rehabilitation and reintegration of marine animals. The park is also an educational center as it has environmental protection and marine science programs, which makes learning dynamic and fun for the millions of visitors it has received throughout its history. The well-being of all species at the Miami Seaquarium, especially the marine mammals that are housed there, will continue to be the top priority for The Dolphin Company, as well as safety and service for all of its visitors.
