Semnox, solutions provider for the entertainment and leisure industry, has implemented its Parafait Suite at Fun X World and Fun X Golf.
Located in the Kuala Lumpur Mall, Fun X World, an immersive family entertainment center known for its diverse range of attractions offers such as a full arcade, skating rink, bumper cars, a kids’ soft play area, and a cafeteria, has integrated several Parafait modules to streamline its operations.
To manage access control and ensure a smooth flow of guests, Fun X World utilizes various turnstile models such as flap barriers, tripods, and swing gates integrated with the Parafait XCESS reader. Some other features implemented to ensure seamless entry include slot-based booking with all-access packages or a pay as you play module, allowing guests to pay based on their chosen activities.
When asked about the different access controls installed, Elijah Koh, Director at Fun X World explained, “Ensuring safety for our guests and their children was paramount for us, and we wanted to prevent children from exiting unattended. Implementing a customized management system was imperative, and Semnox delivered a solution without breaking the bank.”
Digital signage powered by Parafait also enhances communication by displaying real-time information such as the number of guests inside the venue. The arcade is equipped with RFID tap-to-play BEAM reader, while the skating area utilizes the Parafait XTER reader for validation of purchases. Additionally, the venue’s café within the kids’ soft play area manages orders and transactions using the F&B module all operating under one integrated system to enhance operational efficiency.

Fun X Golf, the indoor golf venue under the Fun X World umbrella, utilizes Semnox’s Slot bookings and handheld POS tablets for order-taking and management, complementing the existing Parafait modules for an integrated guest experience.
