PGAV Destinations introduces new additions to St. Louis and Orlando offices

PGAV Destinations announced the strategic expansion of its St. Louis and Orlando design studios, having welcomed a number of new team members that will bolster their collaborative efforts in delivering unparalleled destinations across travel, tourism and entertainment sectors, both domestically and internationally.

PGAV Destinations continues to drive innovation in the planning and design of projects that create unforgettable destinations. Welcoming talented new team members across design disciplines represents increased activity in themed entertainment, zoos, aquariums, museums, brand destinations and hospitality projects around the globe and allows PGAV’s experts to create beautiful experiences wherever they go.

InPark Guest Contributor Gene Jeffers digs deeper into the development of PGAV Destinations’ leaders as they prepare the way for the future of themed entertainment.

“Last year was an extraordinary time for the industry, but we are even more excited about what 2023 has in store as we maintain a steady trajectory of expansion,” said Mike Konzen, PGAV CEO. “Key initiatives put forth before 2020 have enabled this sustained growth, one which promises major advances in 2023 and allows the PGAV team to create beautiful experiences around the world.”

Introducing PGAV Destinations’ new team members:

Alyssa Garcia: Landscape Architect from Huntington, New York, received her bachelor’s in landscape architecture from Cornell University. Garcia has previous landscape architectural design experience in high-end residential, single-family home development, themed entertainment, and transportation work.

Michael Jennings: Architectural Designer of Wall Township, New Jersey, received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Southern California. He has prior experience at Baker Barios Architects, Walt Disney Imagineering and Universal Creative.

Brandon Johnston: Architectural Designer from Warrenton, Missouri, received his bachelor’s in Architectural Studies from the University of Missouri. He has previous experience in zoo design.

Jon Plsek: Designer/Illustrator of Atlanta, Georgia, received his MFA in Themed Entertainment Design from Savannah College of Art and Design. His previous experience includes Disney and Universal Creative. Plsek also served on the Savannah College of Art and Design faculty.

Ken Saba: Senior Media Producer of San Francisco, California, received his BFA in Film and MFA in Film/Entertainment Design from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. He also received two AAs in Film/TV Production and Film/Animation from De Anza College in Cupertino, California. His previous experience includes Walt Disney Imagineering, Mousetrappe, Universal Creative, Boeing, NASA, BRC Imagination Arts and Thinkwell Group.

Monica Toren: Architectural Designer of York, Pennsylvania, received her Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University. She has previous experience in architectural design at LRK plus project management as an intern for Disney World and an architecture intern for Warehaus.

Jonathan Winfiele: Architectural Designer from Missouri City, Texas, received his MFA in Themed Entertainment Design from Savannah College of Art and Design. His previous experience includes architectural design and production design.
