Star Wars exhibit opens at Health Museum in Houston

Star Wars [TM]: Where Science Meets Imagination

Houston, Texas USA — Could humanoid robots and vehicles that hover above ground, once limited only to the fantasy worlds of Star WarsTM, become a reality? Beginning Saturday, June 18, The Health Museum hosts an innovative exhibit, Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination. The exhibit, on display in Houston for the first time, explores the futuristic technologies depicted in the Star Wars films, the real science behind them, and the research that may someday lead to real-life versions of the technologies seen in the film series. The exhibit also features props and costumes from all six Star Wars films. Plus, visitors can experience a simulated ride in a full-size replica of the Millennium Falcon cockpit.

Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination, presented by Bose Corporation, was developed by the Museum of Science, Boston and Lucasfilm Ltd. Star Wars objects in this exhibition are on loan from the Archives of Lucasfilm Ltd.

The exhibition is made possible through the cooperation of Lucasfilm Ltd.
