AURORA, Ohio, USA /PRNewswire/ — After an afternoon of big splashes and twisting water slides, guests at Wildwater Kingdom will be able to sample a variety of wines and hor d’oeurves during Swim and Sip that will be held at the Aurora waterpark on Saturday, July 9.

Hosted by ThornCreek Winery, guests will be able taste exquisite wines and distinctive appetizers and desserts that have been paired together. The event will begin at 5 p.m. in the Lakeside Pavilions.

Located in Aurora, ThornCreek Winery is well-known for its award-winning wines, such as its Cabernet Sauvignon Private, which earlier this year received a silver medal at the Ohio Wine Competition. The winery produces and bottles its wines on its seven-acre facility that features beautiful gardens and natural habitats. It also presents live jazz and acoustic entertainment at the winery.

Tickets for Swim and Sip can be purchased Saturday at the Lakeside Pavilions for $15.99 plus tax. Participants must be at least 21 years old to participate.

In addition to Swim and Sip, guests of all ages will have a full day of fun at Wildwater Kingdom. Thrill-seekers can challenge the Liquid Lightning tornado slide or the twisting tubes of Thunder Falls, Ohio’s tallest waterslide complex. Added excitement can be found at Tidal Wave Bay where guests can frolic in the waves of the 390,000-gallon wave pool.

Nearby, the four-story Splash Landing activity center has seven slides and a giant tipping bucket, while the double-decked Coral Cove has water hoops and floating objects to climb.

For the little ones, the Beach Family Fun Area is a hub of fun. It has games and a beach while Little Tikes Town features playhouses, teeter-totters and Little Tikes cars, providing plenty of dry fun for youngsters.

Season Passes for Wildwater Kingdom, valid for big savings on cool summer fun, are still available. For less than two all-day tickets, a season passholder can splash, play or just relax every day. It is even $10 less for Juniors and Seniors. Plus, season passholders qualify for free parking, early entry and reduced rates on weekday VIP Cabana rentals.
